Venue: Goals Soccer Centre, Kirkstall Road, Leeds
Team: Michael, Frank, Andrew, Jonathan, Steve & Neil.
This was our first outing in the competition and many individuals first time playing in the same team.
We won 1, drew 1, lost 2 in the group stage….thinking we’d been knocked out, went to the bar for a shandy only to be called up to the Quarter Finals as best 3rd place Team!!
So we quickly changed back into our strip and turned out for a Quarter Final against Halcrow.
Having beer in the tank, it comes as no surprise that we lost, but not without a fight.
A great afternoon was had by all and we later realised that our Goalkeeper Michael, played most of the tournament with a broken wrist!
We’ve set ourselves a target to beat for next year….
